Meet the Founder

Francisco Ruiz, DrPH, MS, is Founder and Principal of Adelante Strategy Group. He brings more than two decades of experience across community-based organizations, national nonprofits, and federal government, along with a unique perspective on how institutions and communities can work together to create lasting change.

Throughout his career, Francisco has worked across the public health ecosystem — from supporting youth and community organizations in the United States and Latin America to shaping national policy at the White House and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As Director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, he led implementation of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, bringing together federal agencies and partners across healthcare, the private sector, philanthropy, advocacy, and community organizations to advance a coordinated national response.

That breadth of experience shapes how he approaches every engagement. Whether facilitating conversations or guiding organizational transitions, he helps leaders align people, systems, and ideas to create practical solutions that last.

Francisco earned his Doctor of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and brings executive leadership together with practical, on-the-ground experience to every engagement.
